Question description
During the semester, we have discussed the purposed and scope of criminal laws well as the elements of various criminal offenses. There have been calls for changes in the criminal justice/law system. These calls for reform have touched various areas in the system. For example, the decriminalization of marijuana was designed to reduce the disparity in arrests for simple possession charges and reduce the burden on the criminal justice system. Additionally, body cameras have been recommended to deter the use of force among law enforcement. Furthermore, there have been discussions regarding freedom of speech and assembly as it relates to protests. Discuss three improvements that are needed in our criminal justice system. Please be sure to fully articulate your responses.
