My Job title-Subcontract administrator “Supply Chain”. Lockheed Martin
Purpose:
The goal of this paper is to get you to think about how one of the emerging topics presented in
this course could be leveraged to enhance your current job/firm. It should not be a summary or
informational paper about the chosen topic, but rather a thoughtful and logically argued analysis
related to how you or your firm might benefit from the use of the given emerging topic.
Perspective:
Ideally, the paper would be written with respect to your own job. However, if you do not work in
a position where one of these emerging topics is applicable, then it is reasonable to write it from
the perspective of how your company could benefit from utilizing one of these emerging topics.
If either of these two perspectives are not possible, then please propose to me an alternative
perspective (maybe the industry in which you work?).
Scope:
It is important to think deeply about how the emerging topic might be applied in your context.
The current (or previous) status quo should be clearly described (what are/were things like before
the emerging topic). Next, describe how the emerging topic would change the status quo. Be
specific about the challenges and benefits of utilizing the emerging topic. The goal is to dig
deeply into how the topic could actually be favorably applied to your context.
Specifics:
The paper should be at least 10 pages (not including references and any figures/tables etc.), 12-
point font, 1.5 line spacing, 1 inch margins. References should be utilized in-text and also listed
in the back of the paper—using APA style. You might find it helpful to use section headings to
structure the paper.
