Respond to this post, 200 words please; The study of international business is fine if you are going to work in a large multinational enterprise, but it has no relevance for individuals who are going to work in small local firms. It used to be the case, however now all firms must be real and focus on everything around them including foreign boarders. It is a world where the volume of goods, services, and investments crossing national borders has expanded faster than world output for more than half a century. It is a world where more than $5 trillion in foreign exchange transactions are made every day, where $19 trillion of goods and $4.9 trillion of services were sold across national borders in 2014. It is a world in which international institutions such as the World Trade Organization and gatherings of leaders from the worlds most powerful economies have repeatedly called for even lower barriers to cross-border trade and investment (Hill, 2016). Our communities have become large and now even the smallest of firms are dealing in overseas purchases and trades. In, fact even us as individuals experience this on a more personal level with the help of companies such as Amazon. We live in a globally diverse world that is only getting larger with more connections and more ways to do business and cut costs. It is fueled by technology and the ability to communicate face-to-face without really being face-to-face. It is easier than ever to hold a business meeting from half-way around the world and with that comes the ability to do more, trade more, and make more money. Resources Hill, C.W. L. (2016).
